How the social groups work

Connect by Carexcell offers inclusive spaces where you can meet others, share interests, and build friendships in ways that feel natural and safe for you.

Each connect social group:

Features facilitated group discussions. Participants can choose to join in or not as they prefer.
Participants are encouraged to share their interests and social experiences (with no forced small talk or scripts).
We support people stimming, needing movement, or quiet time.
Gentle, supported opportunities to explore new activities — at your own pace.

Connection here means being accepted for who you are.

Join at Your Own Pace

There’s no pressure to speak, perform, or participate in any particular way. You choose your level of involvement. Some people like to jump right in, while others prefer to observe and join later — both are completely okay.

Our leaders are there to make sure everyone feels safe, supported, and included.

Building Communication and Connection

Connect by Carexcell supports people to strengthen communication in a way that feels authentic — not forced.

We focus on:

Expressing yourself comfortably, whether through words, gestures, writing, or augmented/alternative communication.
Understanding others’ communication styles and building confidence in social settings.
Celebrating diverse ways of interacting and connecting.

Every activity is designed to enable connection, self-expression, and belonging — without judgement or expectation.

Adventures by Carexcell is your launch-pad for new experiences, genuine friendships and meaningful community involvement. Whether you’re looking to join a group, try something bold, or simply hang out in safe and supportive space — we’ve got you.

Go-karting and adventure parks
Escape rooms and collaborative challenges
Comic Con and pop culture events
Aquariums and exploration of nature
Creative and sensory-friendly experiences

Safe, supported group adventures with trained staff and accessible transport. Step into nature or the city — explore bushwalks, beach trips or urban hubs.
